Biography
Marcia joined the AmeriCorps Urban Safety Program (AMUS) at Wayne State University's Center for Urban Studies in 2021, starting as a Domestic Violence Advocate and then promoted to Team Leader in 2022. In Summer 2023, Marcia assumed her current role as a Coordinator for the AMUS Program.
Marcia's evening and weekend job is being a baseball mom. In her spare time, she performs notary work for the community and volunteers for the Veterans Association and other organizations. In 2018 she was appointed as Secretary for the Hispanic Police Officer Association - Michigan Chapter, as well as serving on various other boards.
