Healthy Homes / Urban Safety
Katelyn joined the Center in 2009 as a student assistant while completing her undergraduate degree. Since then, she has been involved with research projects relating to healthy homes, disaster recovery, and program evaluation. Currently, she works performing spatial, quantitative and qualitative data analysis of crime data for the Detroit Police Department, in addition to other local municipalities and corporate security organizations. A self-described cartography nerd, she also creates maps for the Center's Drawing Detroit blog.
Katelyn is currently working on her Master's of Public Administration at Wayne State, where she previously graduated with a B.A. in English in 2011. She is a native of Southeastern Michigan and currently a resident of Ferndale.
